How Artabys tests tools, verifies information, and keeps guides up to date.
What We Publish
Artabys publishes ceramic-art buyer’s guides, comparisons, and hands-on tutorials. Our goal is clear, practical advice based on real studio use.
Who Creates & Reviews
- Ed Shears – Founder & Lead Ceramic Artist; leads product testing and methodology.
- Meesh Switch – Multimedia Artist & Product Manager; testing, photography, content UX.
- David Jackson – Editor & Contemporary Artist; editorial review and clarity passes.
How We Test
We conduct hands-on tests in a working studio. Typical criteria include build quality, ergonomics, control, surface results, durability, and value. We note clay bodies, cone ranges, firing schedules, and any setup assumptions for reproducibility.
Fact-Checking & Editorial Review
Every guide is reviewed by at least one editor for accuracy, clarity, and sourcing. Specs and claims are checked against manufacturer documentation and primary sources.
Updates Policy
We revisit guides when products change, are discontinued, or when our testing reveals new findings. Pages display a true “Last updated” date based on our content system.
Corrections
If we get something wrong, we correct it promptly and note the change at the top or in an update log. Report issues at support@artabys.com.
Independence & Affiliate Disclosure
We do not accept payment for placement or positive coverage. Some links may be affiliate links; they never influence our picks or testing outcomes.
Images & AI Usage
Product photos and test images are unaltered beyond basic color/exposure corrections. Any AI-generated imagery is used only for illustration and never to represent test results.
