Making Of My Berry Wall Art

This abstract wall painting with a berry motif is handcrafted from clay that has been fired to over 2,000 degrees. Nature's hues and textures provided as inspiration for this piece of artwork, which was constructed utilizing the same natural ingredients. Nature provides us with a wealth of naturally occurring colors and textures to pick from every day. Earthy Red Berries

I recreated each natural shape and texture in clay that would be hand-formed, NOT on a potter's wheel. This is where I differ from even the most traditional potter because I make the majority of my artwork by hand rather than on a wheel. This method gives each piece an organic flair that sets my work apart from other conventionally fashioned clay art and pottery. I discovered I don't need to use molds to make my art after applying various coloring ingredients. Therefore, if you asked me to produce another piece of art exactly like the one I just produced, I would be unable to do it. Each of my works of art is distinctive.
